Fugitive pieces written in 1811, 12 & 13, [1813].

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of 29 sentimental and autobiographical poems. Many are addressed to or mention Mary Dehane, the author's wife, including an acrostic on her name and a poem to her. Most of the remaining poems deal with the author's military service and other experiences in Spain, including "Sketches descriptive of the retreat from Salamanca," and a prologue annotated: "Written for a Play, which the officers of 71st Regt. had an idea of performing at Brabourne Lees, January 1812, which however was frustrated by the arrival of the Route."
